Product Description This IRWIN General Carpentry Pull Saw is ideal for cross-cuts and ripping and features a flexible blade for flush cuts. The pull saw is great for exterior trim work or cutting the overhang of a gable soffit. A ProTouch grip helps add comfort, even during long use. From the Manufacturer The IRWIN 213101 Extra Fine Pull Saw is a 12" General Carpenter pull saw. The IRWIN pull saw is perfect for cleaning out 90 degree circular saw cuts on a a stair stringer or for a bird's mouth rafter clean out. Sharpest saw I have. When I loan it out for a few minutes, the users are always impressed. They ALWAYS comment on how much they like this saw. Then they ask where to get one. So it's not just me--everyone loves this saw.I have had an Irwin pull saw for more than ten years. It's my favorite. Definitely the go-to saw. It stays sharp for a long time. It cuts straight. The blade is wide enough to minimize wandering. The long, sharp teeth and narrow kerf leave very little tearout on the exit side. The blade is flexible, too, which opens up many possibilities. I have used this on framing lumber, OSB, paneling, PVC pipe, dowels, ornamental trees for pruning, etc.My Irwin saws live on my clamp cart, which is outside 365 days per year. The roof on the cart is their only protection, other than occasional waxing. You can see from the pics that this saw definitely gets some use. All four of my Irwin saws are very durable, reliable, and sharp. The blue tape on the handles is part of my way of marking my tools. The tape is not a repair. For me, this saw is at its best when my hand is at the bottom of the handhole. That puts the balance of the pull stroke at the sweet spot for the teeth. Whenever it's not cutting beautifully it's always because I choked up to the top of the handhole. The handles last forever. The blade easily detaches from the handle when you push the blue button (and ONLY when you push the blue button). It seems that there should be replacement blades but I have not found them. I tried a Shark blade but it was just barely different and would not lock into the Irwin handle. I'd give this saw SIX stars if I could find replacement blades. But it stays sharp so long, that's not a big deal.Another tip: don't lose the blade guard. Must have a blade guard.Bottom line: Get this saw. It's a super tool and a bargain.SHOWN HANGING ON CLAMP CART, left to right:IRWIN Tools General Carpentry Pull Saw, 15-Inch (213100)IRWIN Tools General Carpentry Pull Saw, 12-Inch (213101)IRWIN Tools Dovetail/Detail Pull Saw, 7 1/4-Inch (213104)IRWIN Tools Double-Edge Pull Saw, 9.5-Inch (213103)
