The point of this tool is to pry wood moldings out of a plaster wall so you can refinish them or do work on the wall. Works great - the chisel is thinner than other pry bars with a sharper, yet wide lead edge, so you can put up next to the molding edge, tap in with a hammer or mallet, then lift. Sometimes the curved end works better, but it puts more pressure on the surface and so will often mash the plaster or drywall. Yet use the flat end and any damage is deep beneath the molding, so it doesn't show. Also very useful for other jobs - great for opening paint cans and then stirring the paint. Have yet to damage one but I keep losing them.I originally found at an old-fashioned hardware store about 30 years ago. Glad to see that Amazon has them now - haven't found a bricks and mortar store that carries them for a darn long time. Just ordered two.
