This product did not come as stated. There is a piece inside that is to hold knives and scissors. There is no way to contact the seller.Included: a whisk, a somewhat flimsy set of tongs, two steak knives, a 13" plastic spoon, a 13" plastic spatula, and a fairly decent if smallish set of kitchen shears. All black and metal. Which is really all you need to cook just about anything, esp. if you are a student starting life in your first apartment. It's the white plastic container they come in that really sinks my boat. You can purchase all these items at a dollar store and pay a lot less than $25. So the container, which is to grace your countertop, should be something kind of special, right? It's thin and plastic; it's only ornamentation is the FARBERWARE printed on the side. If I were to emblazon my company name on my product, I would see to it that my product weren't a thin plastic, possibly not even heat resistant if left on a stove countertop. The crock your Mother's Day flowers came in; an old flowerpot; a nice piece of ceramic you picked up at a local pottery shop. Kitchens should contain things that are beautiful and useful, and this pot is neither. My set showed up slightly broken - the whisk was collapsed in on itself (pulling hard on both ends popped the head and the hanging loop back out), and the top of the knife holder was separated from the crock. The knife holder was easy to put back together, but looking inside left me underwhelmed. There are a few holes for airflow, but it's clear that if you put wet things into the holder you will eventually get a terrarium (it's not removable for cleaning).- The knives say "handwash and dry," but are otherwise similar to my Victorinox knives (NTTAWWT).- The spoon and spatula are a bit small, but are comfortable in the hand and well balanced, and the best part of the set.- The tongs are short but usable.- The whisk is usable, but not at all robustly made, and water will get into the handle if it has any opportunity.- The scissors have a small and uncomfortable handle, and are going to Goodwill.- The crock is usable, and stable on the countertop, and except for the knife holder issue is a nice wide crock.3.5 stars.I didn't realize when I ordered this that it wasn't ceramic but plastic. So when it arrived, for a few secondsI wasn't quite sure what it was. This is a practical "crock" for holding utensils, made by a well-known name in kitchen ware. It has an insert inside for holding different shaped utensils but I plan to remove it because it's interfering with my ultimate aim for this "crock" now that I know it's not going to do for my original purpose. (The insert doesn't seem to be easily removable.) I'll be using it next to the sink to hold the cleaning brushes I use on dishes. Since it's plastic, it will clean well and won't rust, as the current receptacle I'm using for brushes does. It's practical, but this won't win any design awards. And frankly, I think the price is a bit high for what it is.This is disappointing coming from Faberware. It's made out of plastic and is therefore much lighter than it should be. There's some thicker plastic towards the bottom, and this does help weight it a little, but it isn't enough when full of utensils. It does hold a good amount of kitchen utensils, which once you get a few in there they weigh it down a bit more, but if you're not careful you can easily tip the whole thing over pulling one out, or while trying to initially fill it.The bottom has a grip pad, which keeps it from slipping around, but also makes moving it require that you pick it up fully.Other than all that, it's nice enough and the finish can fool anyone not looking too closely that it's porcelain, so I guess it isn't all bad. This Farberware Crock with kitchen tools is a fabulous item!I am very impressed by how well the tools held up daily use, washing, etc.The knives and the scissors included have remained sharp and hold up wellI love the crock and I have been able to put a few other tools in it as wellIt is very easy to keep clean and the design/color will match just about any kitchen decor. Not super impressed with the quality of this crock. It's plastic, so it's very lightweight and has a tendency to tip over when you fill it with tools. The knife holder is kind of pointless and takes up a lot of room just to hold a couple of paring knives. I went ahead and pulled it out (which is not easy!) so I'd have more room for tools. Used it for a few days and then decided to replace it with an actual ceramic crock that had some weight to it and doesn't tip over.If you're looking for something cheap and "it'll do the job", this would be fine. But there are better alternatives out there. This is a decent set of starter kitchen tools. None of them are high quality, though the kitchen shears are reasonably nice. The crock it comes with seems pretty dishwasher safe, so if it gets dusty after a while you could just toss it in. Probably the weakest link are the serrated knives. They are flimsy and cheap. Good for soft items only. The other tools are decent and should last a while, but you will need some better knives. Right now it's $25. Based on the quality, I guess that's okay, but it's definitely not a bargain.
