The idea of doing something the Vikings had done appealed to me. I have now learned four different ways of making i-cord, two of them on the Lucet fork. This is easier to use than a French knitting spool. I never have any problems getting the right piece of yarn to go over the other as I often do with the French knitter. The big eye needle isn't necessary until you've made your i-cord. Wood has a nice feel in the hand. The resultant i-cord is square, not rount, as it is with the spool. Now I wonder just what I'm going to do with all this pretty i-cord!!
