I can’t believe I waited so long to buy this tool. Anyone who uses zip ties has probably been cut by the trimmed end of the band. This tool cuts the band flush at the band lock and eliminates those sharp ends. The only reason that I only gave this tool a 4 star rating for durability is that it’s only made for plastics. If you use zip ties, you need this tool.Knipex is always an investment you have to consider when buying. But once you get one it will last you a lifetime.I have a co-worker who gives me a hard time for not owning flush Cuts. So he said these are basically the same as Snap-on so I ordered them up. You are using them to cut zip ties only, these will last forever. 100% buy you a pair.These pliers are specifically designed for plastic and they excel at removing zip-tie ends. High quality as usual for Knipex. I noticed other reviewers showing pictures of damage to the cutting blades. Please do not use these pliers for metal cutting :-)The most durable flush cutters I have ever used. Normally, diagonal cutters have a gap to the knife and can leave a ragged edge, while flush cutters are tiny delicate things that if you squeeze too hard or drop it on the floor, or even use them too much they break. I am thrilled to death with the Knipex flush cutting dikes. Everyone who handles them on the job wants one for themselves. If you do anything whatever that needs a flush cutter and you are sick and tired of tiny delicate cutters that crumble if you look at them funny, these are a must-have for your toolkit. I know when I bought them I was a little dubious -- that's a pretty high price for a site of dikes right? Well, now I'm a believer. Knipex may well have secured a new brand-loyalist based off of these flush cutting dikes alone.I’ve been using Knipex Lead Dykes for 45 years. The absolute BEST lead dykes on earth.Zip ties only. The worst thing is using dykes to cut zip ties leaving that razor sharp edge then the next guy comes through and slices him self open because The person before him was too lazy to grab the correct cutters. And they’re KNIPEX.Knipex is the best ! Great flush cutter !You might be thinking these are incredibly expensive for a pair of sidecutters. However, these are immaculately finished and cut everything perfectly flush. Now, these are very job specific and I only bought them to cut zipties but they are the absolute best at doing that. Most Snap-on brand flush cutters are weak and the blades have barely any metal on them, these are so much better than they are.So say goodbye to cutting your arms on poorly nipped zipties and just buy these.My first amazon tool purchase, so I was skeptical of the quality of the tool (I’ve always trusted knipex but always bought from local tool trucks). I wasn’t sure if they’d be real knipex side cutters or not.As any mechanic may know, shoving your arm into a tight spot only to get Chinese finger locked by 20 zip ties cut on a 45° angle. This little guy cuts those zip tie tails off perfectly flush, no more sharp zip ties! (At least after you’re done anyway:p)Would buy again.Received these cutters loose with none of the original packaging in the standard bubble wrapped envelope most smaller items from amazon arrive in. Ripped open the shipping packaging and found that the cutters had a long cut along the rubber grip on the one side. Cut seems like someone took a knife to it as it’s right down to the metal. Gave 2 stars because the product seems like quality and would have been awesome had it not been damaged.
