I have used mine thru two tough winters, still like the day I bought it. Just ordered and received a new one just in case something happens to my old one. Don't plan on using the new one anytime soon. This is still my favorite shovel an I thank you for making it available! It is not overly heavy. The design keeps the snow in place quite well. Making it so that everything is not running off the side.Yes the hard plastic make up of the shovel will wear out..but I must tell you this is what I love about this shovel. As the edge is worn away, the shovel takes on an almost custom fit. Cleanly clearing snow at the perfect angle for the individual user.Yes I will buy again! As a matter of fact this is my 3rd over the last 20 some year. This is been a great purchase for our family !Arrived promptly. Nice and sturdy (better than our previous pusher). Reasonably priced.I made my purchase decision based on the item description (Arctic Blast 30" Poly Snow Pusher; "AMES TRUE TEMPER" SNOW PUSHER"), the item pictured and the price. Why? Because I already owned that exact shovel and was looking to replace it. My order was placed with Big Red Toolbox for a decent price ($34.81) and free shipping. What I received is the shovel pictured in the ad for UnionTools 30-Inch Snow Pusher with Hardwood Handle - 1602100. Black poly scoop, wood handle with green Union Tools logo. Huh?Now, I can tell you that the shovels are functionally equivalent and even constructed identically. Only difference is the color and the logo. But go to the Union Tools version and find it for $4.00 less that this one. Same shovel, save $4.Minor annoyances: handle on the new shovel was loose at both the scoop end and the D-grip end.Oh, yeah, and as others noted, there is no metal edge (didn't want that) and these things only last a couple of seasons before the scoop is worn out/curled up in the middle of the leading edge. Nothing will ever replace the original True Temper Actic Wind 26" turquoise snow pusher.First thing I did when I got this item was to correct the handle being loose on the snow pusher was: I removed the plastic lock device from the handle and where the locking device was I wrapped the handle with a single layer of black electrical tape, replaced the locking device and inserted the handle into the poly snow pusher - results no more loose handle. The second thing I did was install a hose clamp on the portion of the pusher where the handle is inserted, thus making it less likely to crack. Thanks to other comments about these two problems I was able to correct them before I had any loose handle or cracking poly problems. Hope the things I did to correct the problems also helps some other people that purchase this snow pusher, otherwise this poly snow pusher seems very sturdy and rugged.I received the Union Tools snow shovel 1602100 30" snow pusher today, because of the brand name, it`s been around forever, very good quality, stands up to it`s name, and the shovel blade is all sturdy solid plastic, without the metal strip edge.On my third one love these light weight strong only thing dont last to long on cement driveways buts thats to be expected with plastic i willcontinue to buy these they are simply the best ive had the big thick plastic pushers there heavy n you cant lift n throw the snow like you can with this
