This is a sturdy, good quality meter with most of the functions you would need for electrical/electronic diagnosis. The rubber case gives it good protection against damage if you should drop it. A big plus is that in addition to the standard pin-type terminals, it comes with alligator clip adapters that you attach to the pin terminals, making it much easier to make good contact with a free-hanging wire. It also comes with a temperature probe, which I tested to make sure it works, but haven't used yet in a practical application, as well as a durable case to store the meter and the accessories. And as an added bonus, it's made in the good ol' USA. :) Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of this meter, and I think it should be in the toolbox of anyone who does any kind of electrical or electronic work. This is the best digital auto-ranging multimeter I have been able to find for the price. It can do every thing you want and is very sturdy. Large display and large visible ticks that refresh well so you can gauge an increase or decrease in measurements. I have also found the circuit continuity feature to be on par with more expensive models which is a must for home electronic repair. I got this for $110 not the $200+ I typically see and for that reason I give it a 5 because of how a Fluke with the same great features would cost me much more. Oh an if you're wondering this is made up of components manufactured in China and South Korea, but assembled in the US.Unbelievable value at this price ($90 at time of purchase)Had to replace my old meter after 8+ years of usage, different brand and the leads from it work on the Klein as well! Bonus! (had some special mini alligator clips etc)My dad (industrial electrician) was impressed how well the mm6000 measured up to his Fluke.I put rechargeable batteries in since pretty much everyone says the 2 AAA's don't last as long as the typical 9-volt. Some may not like the lack of a 9-volt, I personally like the AAA's better since I have access to rechargeables and the only 9-volts I ever bought were for my old meter... one less battery size to buy.It is obvious that this meter is built to a higher standard. The sockets for the lead plugs were quite firm, so I used a tiny swab of silicone grease on the test leads because I remove them after every use, many times per day. Now they plug into the meter smoothly and easily, likely to last a long time. Why do I remove the leads? It prolongs the life of the meter. Maybe even your life if you measure hazardous voltages, Test leads belong hanging on a rack or in a pouch when not in use. They should not be laying on the bench becoming tangled with tools.I am an impatient person, and don't like to read instructions. So I started using the meter immediately, fumbling my way through the controls. It's how I like to learn, and this was an easy device to learn by doing. I bought the meter on brand name, and features. Especially like the backlight, so it is easy to ready under the hood. Ample room in soft case for everything. Rubber surround gives me confidence to use this in the shop without worry. Looking forward to all of the functions, including temperature to check vehicle A/C performance.A great product ! I cannot emphasize this enough it is Made in the USA!As an hvac student, it did the job. Even my professor was impressed with it's performance. This is definitely a brand that deserves a closer look. No complaints. Arrived on time and without damages. Display is easy to read. Feels good in your hand. Well made. Compared to another leading brand, this price can't be beat. This is a nice multimeter! Several of the upper end Klein Multimeters are made in the U.S. and this is one of them. Make sure if you are going to spend this kind of money that you make sure it does what you require. Different models offer different features. I would recommend going to the Klein website and there you can compare the specs.Comes with a nice soft sided case, test leads, threaded alligator clips, and thermo coupler connection, and instructions.
