Tried to find finer but this seems to be the finest available at this time.Used for cleaning a rifle, boiled the parts to reveal any hidden rust and then used this to get it off without damaging the bluing or leaving scratches like steel wool would. Works great and no matter how hard you use it it won't damage your bluing, keep in mind it likes to shed a lot and make a mess so be prepared to clean, but that's common sense, looking at YOU any idi*t who gave this low stars because "they had to clean it up afterwards". Grow a pair.Love buying quality made in the USA products. Bronze wool is great for removing rust from blued steel, the 'hairs' from stocks after cleaning, and for buffing in between coats of oil. After wasting many steel wool pads cleaning the inside of the fireplace insert glass door, I came across these. Now I can scrub that fireplace glass, rinse the bronze pad and let it air dry. No more rusty steel wool pads that I had to throw away after 1-2 uses. They work great and are less likely to scratch the glass, being a softer metal than steel. I have about 6 glass cleanings with one bronze pad and it looks like new. I got the "fine" grade pad, again to avoid scratching the glass that a medium or course grade pad may cause. 5 outta 5!Used Rouge river bronze wool for oil-rubbing a rifle’s mahogony buttstock and fore end.Dislike...when I used the product, it shed the bronze wool all over.I always used 4,O steel before and it was messy clinging to everything magnetic. No more. Will use this product,I use this as a finish to my sanding when making powder horns. It doesn't generate that blackish dust that steel wool does. Leaves the surface clean and polished. Highly recommended.
