I've bought two of these (one for my pool vac hose and one for my Intex-branded surface skimmer that works with Easy Set pools (by Intex as well as Summer Waves). This works great at reducing 1 & 1/2" hoses down to 1 & 1/4" (and slightly smaller)! By removing the leaf guard grill from my Summer Waves Easy Set pool's intake with a mini hack-saw, I'm able to use this hose adapter to now vacuum my pool the right way as well as use a surface skimmer. Highly recommended!
