Chasing hammers are good for striking chasing tools, letter punches, center punches, and other small striking tools, and can also be used to shape sheet metal or wire. The steel head has a flat face and a ball face. The handle is calibrated and shaped specifically for precision chasing. The head is mounted on a hardwood handle with a steel pin to keep it in place.
